MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone! I feel like writing this post in English, mostly because my German became a big mess and I really need to work on my writing and grammar skills. So, here we are. Christmas 2015. My first Canadian Christmas. On Christmas Eve there was a family dinner. It wasn't big, my host-uncle and my host-grandparents came over and it was really nice. The gift giving is in the morning of December 25th - Christmas Day! Santa does come to my family - but he only fills up the little (or not so little) stockings which are hanging above the fireplace. Egle and me also got our very own one. The floor under the Christmas tree was filled with presents and my little sisters couldn't wait to finally open them. I surprisingly got a lot of presents from my host family. Not big expensive ones - but cute little things, which are useful and things that are always gonna remind me of Canada! I couldn't wish for a better host family - I honestly love them so much! On the 25th we had a family dinner at my host-grandparents house and then christmas basically was over for us. On the 26th my host family and me went to watch Star Wars and I really liked it - if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend you to do it! I'm on Christmas break right now, just like you in Germany. Right before the break we got our term 1 report cards and mine was not bad at all. I got a lot of A's ( no bragging - I just have really easy classes). I got one C tho, guess for what class! I'm not gonna tell you - because most of you probably know ahaha. Well, and what happened the past months? - Nothing much. I mean, I'm just living a normal teenager life in Canada but I'm gonna post some pictures of a few things I've done so far! My first cheer competition is in February and I'm so excited. I've always wanted to be a cheerleader and I can finally say my dreams came true. I moved to North America, I'm a high school student and a cheerleader! Sounds like a high school movie, eh? I'm more than happy over here and even though I wasn't happy in the beginning, I'm now more than happy to be here and I wish I could stay here forever. I'm now at the point where I feel more than comfortable and don't ever wanna leave. I miss all my Germans but I've never been happier! It's only been 3 and a half months but I can already say that an exchange is one of the best things you can do and if you get the chance to go abroad - do it!!!!! Well, this post didn't turn out the way it was supposed to be but yeah - just wanted to tell you guys that I'm still alive and didn't get eaten by a bear xoxo Sarah
